Crystal Andersen was recently hired as bartender and promoted to manager at the Frazee-Vergas VFW, which is located on Main Avenue.
The Heart O’Lakes Frazee-Vergas VFW Post 7702 recently hired Crystal Andersen as manager, and she is glad to be serving patriots in her hometown.

Vergas couple brings home miracle after following God’s plan


Kelsey and Greg Zitzow recently returned home with their little miracle Liam, who wasn’t supposed to survive childbirth.
Greg (Goob) and Kelsey Zitzow were given every reason to give up on their unborn child. The doctors said the deck was stacked against his survival, but the Vergas residents kept their faith.

Simple grant aims to reduce heating costs for area residents


Mahube-Otwa Energy Assistance Coordinator Janice Renner shared the organization also offers energy audits and crisis funding.
Grants are available to help pay heat and electricity bills for those living in the Frazee and Vergas areas, and the applications are simple to understand.

Chili chefs not the only winners Sunday
