Vergas Lions celebrate 50th anniversary with steak fry


New members were pinned Sunday at the Vergas Lions 50th anniversary event. Celebrating 50 years of service to the community and worldwide, the Vergas Lions gathered for a grilled steak supper and presentation Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Vergas Event Center.

The official Vergas Maple Syrup Fest T-shirt design was recently unveiled along with plans for a new guessing game.
The city of Vergas designated an official maple tree in preparation of a new guessing game for Maple Syrup Fest, which is slated for April 7.

The newly crowned Miss Perham’s Outstanding Teen Hanna Beck (center) posed for a picture with her brother Shane and parents Michelle and Matt Beck.
Hanna Beck recently won the title of Miss Perham’s Outstanding Teen, and while a crown and sash go with the honor, so does the opportunity to tell people about the Pinky Swear Foundation.
