Frazee Sportsman’s Club members Ashley Renollet (left) and Heather Perrine manned the registration table, which was set up at Billy’s Corner Bar in Vergas.
The Frazee Sportsman’s Club carp bowfishing contest drew 26 teams. The 89 people pulled 4,000 pounds of the bottom-dwelling fish from lakes in the counties of Becker and Otter Tail in the overnight hours of Saturday, May 21.

Vergas receives donation for scenic outlook


The Hairy Man 5K in Vergas features unique medals for winners of each age category. The Vergas Trail Committee is currently seeking volunteers to possibly expand the event.
A recent donation of 100 feet of metal pipe will aid in fixing drainage concerns for the scenic outlook area planned along the Long Lake Trail in Vergas.

Fredrickson helps spread hope through education in Haiti

A party was held for students in St. Michel with hot dogs in buns with ketchup (a real treat), cheese balls and juice. Gifts included toothbrushes and paste, soap, dolls or cars and soccer balls.
Frazee resident Denise Fredrickson has been a part of TeacHaiti encouraging hope to Haitian children for four years and credits two important people as her inspiration.
