Memorial rocks needed at community garden

Lorie Totland reclaimed two flower gardens along 2nd Street, and hopes the community will help border them with rocks 6-to-8 inches in size. She asks those bringing a rock to also paint the name of a loved one who has passed on the rock. Photo by Barbie Porter
In Lorie Totland’s formative years she often asked, “What can my community do for me?”

Goats don’t kid around, just hit the bottle

Teenager Abby Hoehne positioned containers of milk for young goats while her brother Crosby placed each of the seven animals in its stall at feeding time. A total of 47 are being raised on the Frazee farm.
The old time expression “…get your goat” could have been first used on the Kent and Amber Hoehne farm.

But it wasn’t.
