Tom Jessop offers a variety of exterior and interior paints at the Frazee Color-Tek location. Jessop and his wife Penny have nine adult children and 22 grandkids.
Color-Tek Coatings recently returned to Frazee and is open and providing the area with a wide selection of high-quality paints, stains and sealers for interior and exterior projects, as well as supplies needed to get the job done.

Excavators dig into former furniture store


The rail car in the former furniture building was likely built in the 1880s by The Pullman Company as an observation car. It was brought to Frazee in 1993 and was eventually turned into a diner. Gary Ware bought it in 1979, shortened about 20 feet and moved it into his Main Avenue furniture store.
Demolition of the former Gary’s Furniture building began Wednesday, Aug. 2.

Shipman show brings in 78 rides, grandson of the Clareys takes home People’s Choice


The Saturday car show during Turkey Days drew spectators from around the region.
The Tyler Shipman Memorial Car Show brought in 78 entries, of which 15 had Frazee owners. There were also 18 Fieros and a whole lot of people filling Main Avenue to take a gander at the muscle machines and eye candy.
