Saying ‘long overdue,’ busload of fans attend St. Cloud ceremony

Gerald "Jerry" Riewer, Staples, talked with Al Stigman, Perham, Saturday evening at the 52nd induction ceremony held by the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Association in St. Cloud. Stigman became a member of the HOF Saturday, while Riewer, Staples-Motley, was elected in 1985. They were Ken Bitzan, Millersville (deceased); Mark Forsman, Dassel; and Dan Hoefs, Rochester. John W. Dermody photo
Finally, with dozens of baseball fans from a wide area supporting him, Perham’s Al Stigman was inducted into the 52nd edition of the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Cloud, Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014.
