Making, saving memories

This is my mom's 2014 memory board that I made, I also took the sheets and made a booklet for by her favorite chair. I add to it almost weekly, monthly for sure. Her short-term memory loss makes her feel very lonely as she does not remember visitors. A little review makes her smile and feel remembered. My mom is going to be 86 this month.
This past week, I said goodbye to summer while packing away all my items from the cabin.

I am truly blessed

It was five years ago Oct. 9 that I went from just another mom to “that poor mom whose son has cancer,” followed by “that poor mom whose son has terminal cancer,” followed by “that poor mom whose son died of cancer.”

Cooler weather brings fall activities

Football, bonfires, hayrides and rummage sales? Yes most of these are favorite events, but getting prepared for a garage sale wasn’t on the top of my prefer-to-do list.

The Miller Fox Farm

A lot of folks have asked me about the Miller Fox Farm so that will be this week’s history lesson.

Frazee High School’s Homecoming 2014 ... seeing green

Veterans of Frazee-Vergas VFW Post 7702 Color Guard presented colors while the FHS band performed an instrumental version of the National Anthem. (From left) Tony Christensen, Jimmy Johnson with VFW flag, Tim Lepisto, Beth (Lepisto) Belflower with AmVets flag, and Darby Nundahl. The crowd sang along to the beloved song and then cheered as the vets marched off the field. Post 7702 also marched during the Homecoming parade earlier in the afternoon. Cally Nundahl photo
Pumped up pride and silly costumes started out the Homecoming week and it ended in sweet victory and seeing green.

Letter: Volunteer your services

Dear Editor,

Election judge integrity for the primary and general elections is covered by Minnesota Statutes but not all townships or township clerks abide by laws in my opinion.
