Hornets take mud bowl title in 49-0 victory


Three die-hard Frazee Hornet fans came prepared in full rain gear for the mud bowl Friday, Oct. 11. The game was postponed more than 30 minutes due to lightning, at which time most fans retreated into the school for shelter. Photo by Barbie Porter
About eight minutes into the Frazee Hornet football team’s 49-0 victory against Red Lake High School, the game was stopped due to lightning.

The Frazee Hornets rolled into undefeated Tiger territory without top defensive player Garrett Malstrom and before the first drive was over lost starting quarterback, Matt Tangen.
