Frazee native to sing Sunday

Frazee native Amber Schwarzrock will perform in Detroit Lakes Sunday.

 Frazee native Amber Schwarzrock will take the stage at the Historic Holmes Theatre Sunday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. and treat her audience to a concert of opera duets and broadway favorites.

 The duets will feature special guest Brian Wallin, a friend of Schwarzrock’s from the University of Maryland.

 Tickets are $15 for adults and students are free. The show is a fundraiser to help Schwarzrock pay for a trip to Italy where she will sing at an opera music festival.

 “I auditioned and was given the lead role in The Turn of the Screw by Benjamin Britten.

 The daughter of rural Frazee residents Gary and Jay Estenson will also have CDs available for purchase at the show and after at the Yak Shack located on East Main Avenue in Frazee.
