Harvest Fest slated Aug. 16-18

The final preparations for the 30th annual Wolf Lake Harvest Fest are in full swing for Aug. 16-18. Everyone is welcome to join the festivities and enjoy the traditional favorites like the Susi Jarvi Charm Hunt; Lions Ham Dinner – Saturday from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Lions Hall; Parade – 2 p.m., call Andrea, 218-252-5618; Mud Run – 30 minutes after the parade, call Ken Phillips, 218-639-6354; and the Horseshoe Tournament Sunday – call Don Toppari, 218-538-6518. Last year’s new event – the Pie Baking Contest, was a big hit and will take place again Saturday before the Pie Social, call Amanda Aho at 218-538-6690 to enter.
The Wolf Lake Harvest Fest Parade will be held Saturday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. and new committee chairs and members are seeking parade entries. The lineup will start at 12 p.m. at the Wolf Lake sliding hill.
