Maplewood concerts set, first one June 30

Maplewood State Park will be the site of three concernts in the “Music at Maplewood” series this summer.
Saturday, June 30 Kimmel/ Longtine will perform from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter.  
Dick Kimmel & Pamela Longtine have been performing together as a duo and in Minnesota stringbands since 2014. Their music is a diverse collection drawn from old-time stringband music and traditional bluegrass. 
Kimmel is a multi-instrumentalist legend, adept at guitar and clawhammer banjo as well as mandolin; Longtine is a superb fiddler with experience in many traditional types of music. Info:
Concerts are free, but one needs a MN State Park sticker to get into the state park.
Come for an enjoyable evening of music. Bring a lawn chair. Come early and bring a picnic lunch.
The second free concert will be held Satuday, July 14 with Mark Fogelson, and the final is Aug. 11 with the Lenertz/Thornby Duo.
