As the city of Frazee develops and updates the community’s Comprehensive Plan, it is interested in gathering input from area residents and business owners.
The Frazee Community Visioning Session is one of the ways of collecting information.
The visioning session will be an open house style (a light meal will be served) and will be held on Wednesday, May 30 from 6 pm- 7:30 p.m. at the Frazee Event Center.
Frazee-area residents are welcome to come any time during the event to participate in discussions regarding Frazee’s future.
Local input helps create community-developed goals and aspirations to guide future planning efforts.
In essence, a comprehensive plan is an expression of the community’s vision for the future and a strategic map to reach that vision. Comprehensive planning is an important tool for cities to guide future development of land to ensure a safe, pleasant, and economical environment for residential, commercial, industrial, and public activities.
A steering committee has been appointed by the city, made of 12 members that represent the local business community, citizens at large, and other various stakeholders from the area. The role of the steering committee is to collaborate with and involve stakeholders to ensure that community aspirations and concerns are understood, considered, and reflected in the plan.
Frazee is working in collaboration with National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA). NJPA's comprehensive planning partnership represents a united goal for efficiencies in government.
Comments and questions regarding this plan can be directed to the Denise Anderson, Clerk/ Administrator, at or call 218-334-4991.
