Highway 87 street projects to be discussed at event center

The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on Thursday, May 12, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., to discuss upcoming construction on Highway 87 in the City of Frazee.

The open house will be held at the Frazee Event Center.

Residents, business owners, and area visitors and commuters are encouraged to attend. There will be no formal presentation.

Starting May 31, MnDOT will reconstruct Highway 87 from Highway 10 to North River Drive in the City of Frazee. The “complete streets” project includes resurfacing and reconstructing Highway 87, replacing city utilities, and improving pedestrian and bicycle access and accommodations. Construction will be completed in stages, with changing detours and/or lane shifts or closures. The project is expected to be completed in October.

For those who cannot attend the in-person event or would prefer to get information virtually, all upcoming construction information will be available on the project website mndot.gov/d4/projects/frazee.

Comments and questions can be submitted via a form on the project website or contact MnDOT.

Visit the project website for more information about the project and to sign up for project email updates.
