Each driver, including a Frazee man, suffered non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on the eastern edge of Wadena Thursday, Oct. 5, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

A 2014 Ford Escape, driven by Julie Lynn Cole Denny, 54, of Hewitt, was traveling eastbound on Highway 10 waiting to turn north onto Shady Lane Drive.

A 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by John Alvin Johnson, 29, of Frazee,  was also traveling eastbound on Highway 10 when the two vehicles collided.

Both Johnson and Denny were taken to Astera Health in Wadena for treatment.

Airbags deployed in both vehicles, each driver was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The incident happened on dry pavement.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office and Wadena Police and Fire assisted at the scene.
