Preliminary reports show ‘highest ever’ northern population in Town Lake


The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources set several nets in Frazee’s Town Lake to study the fish population.
Town Lake is reporting one of its highest populations of northern pike, according to preliminary results from a study conducted by the Minnesota Department of Natural Recourses.

The third annual Frazee-Vergas VFW Rib Fest hosted nine teams that served savory cuts seasoned to make a memorable impact on the taste buds.

Storm crashes through area, leaves a trail of debris

The rain fell sideways Tuesday, June 13. Droplets pelted windows as the wind snapped healthy trees and threw them into the streets of Frazee and Vergas. At the height of the storm the lights went out in many areas.

Community garden receives 37 tomato plant donation, pick a plant this Friday


Marlys Oswald plants one of the 37 donated tomato plants into the soil at the community garden in Frazee. Anyone interested in tending to a tomato plant can show up Friday at 7 p.m. and pick a plant to care for, and reap the rewards.
This Friday 37 flowering tomato plants are hoping to have caretakers.
