Frazee graduate lives without electricity for two years before starting free-range farm

‘The Gibbons Sisters’ named Turkey Days grand marshals


The Gibbons sisters were named this year’s Turkey Days grand marshals. Turkey Days co-chair Dawn Flemmer (from left) informed Diane Mistelske, Jan Lindsley and Joan Ketter of the honor along with co-chair Trescha Mitchell.
There will be three grand marshals in the Turkey Days parade this year: Joan Ketter, Jan Lindsley and Diane Mistelske.

Ryan Damlo of Becker County Transit discussed public transportation offered in Frazee. He said buses come to Frazee Tuesdays and Thursdays and offer residents door-to-door service for all ages from kids to elderly.

The Vergas Municipal Liquor Store ended 2015 in the black with a profit of $13,986.
 
According to the audit the profit was a resulted “from an increase in sales.”

William Pihlaja becomes Eagle Scout


William Pihlaja recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. The Frazee High School senior is a member of the Detroit Lakes Boy Scout troop.
