Native Club offers an opportunity to embrace cultural differences


Brianna Mortensen (left) and Sadie Larson are proud to attend a school that offers a Native American Club. Brianna spent her early childhood in Pine Point and Sadie was born in Ponsford. They now reside in Frazee.
Most U.S. citizens need to look to other countries to find their family’s heritage, but for Frazee High School juniors Brianna Mortensen and Sadie Larson their linage begins on the same soil they walk upon today.

Kids raising money for kids


AWANA volunteer Karen Pieper (center) presented a check for $400 from AWANA to Rick and Shirley Umberger for Feed The Fish. Karen also gave a check for $400 from Twice Blessed (church thrift store).
AWANA students gathered together recently to raise money for Feed The Fish, which is a foundation for children to experience the great outdoors and come to know Jesus.

Students perform ‘Into the Woods, Jr.’


Little Red Riding Hood Braylee Riewer (raising hand) met a wolf, played by Becca Jacobson-Simmon, in the forest. The actors in the background played the parts of spooks.
The Frazee High School held its musical this past weekend, performing “Into the Woods, Jr.”
 
Into the Woods is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine.

Student’s flat self spends time with the Texas law


Flat Maecyn (paper doll in picture) visited the Randall County Sheriff's Office in Texas for a learning assignment in Russ Hackel’s first grade class at Frazee Elementary.
Maecyn Carlson made a flattened version of herself and headed out for an adventure where she ended up surrounded by police.

The Frazee FFA Chapter's Small Animals team competed in regional competition at the University of Minnesota Crookston. The team received 1st place and will advance to the state competition in April.

Theater class grows in popularity, becomes year-long course

Frazee robotics program sweeps regionals, earns first double-title for school


The Frazee High School robotics team recently won the regional championship in Duluth. This success followed the team’s championship title earned at a regional competition in Grand Forks.
The Frazee robotics team made school history by sweeping the regional events with two champion­ship titles.

FHS students provide 1,000 meals for food shelf


Annette Hermanson, Jessie Hall and Chrysten Halverson helped their seventh grade art class win a pizza party by donating the most items during a recent food drive at Frazee High School.
The Frazee High School Robotics team recently held a food drive competition at the school, which resulted in about 1,000 meals going to the Becker County Food Shelf.
