Perham Health delivers first baby of New Year

Tate Rutten was the first baby born at Perham Health in 2021. He is the son of Ashley and Isaac Rutten of Perham. Staff members and the Rutten family only briefly took off masks for the annual first baby picture.
Perham Health welcomed its first baby of 2021 on New Year’s Day. Tate Maxwell Rutten was born at 7:37 a.m. to Ashley and Isaac Rutten of Perham. He weighs eight pounds and is 20 inches long.
Supporting the family throughout the pregnancy and delivering Tate was Tonya Diggins, certified nurse midwife.
Welcoming Tate into their family are siblings Kennedy and Cooper.
Perham and the surrounding communities have a long-standing tradition of welcoming the first baby born each year at Perham Health with a gift basket.
