The Frazee-Vergas School District wrestling program hosted a cornhole tournament on Saturday, April 10 at the Frazee Event Center.

The event drew in bean bag throwers of all levels, and offered an adult and kids competition. Taking top prize for the adult division were Devan Nelson and his teammate Ross Kasowski.

In the kid’s division, the winners were Mason Olson and Blake Sonnenberg.

Funds raised from the cornhole tournament, silent auction and gun raffles that were held the same night will go back into the wrestling program.

Head coach Travis Nagel said the funds provide opportunities for wrestlers, gear, hotels when traveling for tournaments and much more.

“We had a great turn out and a fun time was had by all playing cornhole and participating in silent auctions and raffles,” Nagel said. “We appreciate everyone’s help in organizing the event and to those who participated.  It was great to spend the evening with everyone who attended.”
