The BackYard Station will be closing in July according to Roger Boe. Boe broke the news at the monthly Frazee City Council meeting on June 13 after he addressed the council about a lack of support for the business community. Boe said he’s had his popular store on Main Avenue for 14 years and two months and for the most part has seen the downtown district go backwards when it came to business. To his best recollection, Boe said he’s seen 23 stores open and close in the past 14 years and now there are only two stores with general merchandise.
It was announced by Ryan Damlo of Becker County Transit that busses will come to Frazee on Tuesdays and Thursdays and offer residents door to door service for all ages, kids to elderly.
“We’ll bring someone to a hair appointment, doctor appointment, school, preschool, work or shopping.” Damlo said.
