Another female passenger, age 4, was transported to Essentia Health, St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. All three passengers on the ATV suffered serious injuries. All were wearing helmets. None of the passengers of the Acadia were injured.
Frazee resident Adam Jaroszewski recently joined the ranks of Eagle Scout. The recent Detroit Lakes graduate earned his rank as a member of the Detroit Lakes Boy Scout Troop 646 after completing a required community service project that requires a very in-depth proposal. His project consisted of creating 70 bases that would hold flags for the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. The bases are made of concrete with a PVC pipe that will hold the flagpoles. There were about 23 people that chipped in to help him complete this project.

Burkel Turkey Farms near Frazee experienced some livestock loss in the recent sweltering temperatures last week, said Robin Burkel, co-owner with husband, Dave. The Frazee Fire Department was called out twice last Thursday to reduce building temperatures with cool water. Robin reports that the high humidity, over two days of extreme hot weather without night-time cool downs, resulted in the livestock loss.
