Area residents and dignitaries attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Heartland Trail extension from Detroit Lakes to Frazee on Thursday, July 1. The paved bath is decades in the making and was transformed from a dream into a reality by the dedication, determination and wisdom of many trail supporters. The paved path has already seen many bikers, jogger, rollerbladers and skateboarders enjoy the trail.
