Snellman Day is the last official bash of summer before area youth headed back to school. During the day  long event, activities were provided as well as a shopping experience. One shopping experience has to do with the mayor of the unincorporated town.

The fun all begins at Aune’s Kuppala where people could purchase a vote for $1. The winner was announced at 2 p.m. Roseann Jensen, a summer resident of Toad Lake, took the title of mayor.
