As of Monday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 15, motorists will encounter a temporary closure of the State Highway 87 railroad crossing in the City of Frazee. Traffic will be detoured to Juniper Avenue West/County Road 10, Fifth Street Northwest and Main Avenue West.

During the closure, railroad crews will replace the existing crossing with wider panels. This will ensure the crossing can accommodate the future trail and sidewalk that will be installed next year as part of the 2022 Highway 87 reconstruction project in the City of Frazee.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
