Frazee is gearing up to get in the Christmas spirit. Event organizers are seeking people to decorate the holiday trees that will be placed downtown along Main Avenue.

Aleisa Jopp, one of the Merry Frazee Christmas organizers, said the trees were donated in the past, but this year will cost $40 each. Sponsors are sought for purchasing the live trees.  Sponsors can decide if they want to decorate a tree or put a business, church, group or individual to the task instead.

The trees will arrive on Thanksgiving weekend and should be decorated by Friday, Dec. 3. There is a limited supply, but Jopp said tree sponsorships were still available. Anyone interested in sponsoring a Merry Frazee Christmas tree can contact Jopp at (218) 234-9415. 

The annual Merry Frazee Christmas celebration, which includes a parade and activities is set for Saturday, Dec. 11.
