The Vergas Long Lake Scenic Trail addition was recently paved. The original trail connected downtown Vergas to the city beach. The addition takes pedestrians along Long Lake lakeshore, onto a floating boardwalk and up a bank where a decorative planter and piece of artwork by Patrick Shannon can be found. After the artwork, the trail continues along the shoreline, but on a primitive groomed grass path.
