• Hot cocoa and hot cider were served with a side of cookies to all who visited Vergas during the Small Town Christmas celebration.
  • Lynnae Salveson of Vergas took advantage of a chance to pet a fainting goat, which was one of several animals brought to Vergas for Small Town Christmas outdoor fun.
  • Dean Haarstick (left) stopped to visit between adding more logs to the outdoor campfires on Main Street.
  • Emma Davis, 4, smiled for a picture with Santa. The 4-year-old is the daughter of Shelby and Blaine Davis of Vergas.
  • After visiting with Santa, Ivan Larson of Frazee placed a ticket in the prize bin he hoped to win. Larson is the 11-year-old son of Brandon and Krystal Larson.

The Small Town Christmas celebration in Vergas on Saturday, Nov. 27 drew families to visit from all over the region.  

Visitors enjoyed shopping on Main Street, petting various animals, chatting with friends and family, cruising around town on a horse drawn buggy and meeting Santa.

There were contests to vote for the favorite decorated tree and plenty of other merry fun to kick off the Christmas season.
