The City of Frazee will have a spring clean up day where residents can kick large items like sofas to the curb and have it hauled away.

The decision was made during the monthly council meeting on Monday, March 21. The dates being considered are the week of May 9-13.

The council also heard form its department heads and learned:

• The Frazee Police Chief reported 74 calls in the month of February.

• Frazee Rescue responded to 20 calls in February with seven being in town.

• Utilities Superintendent Larry Stephenson reported the city competed in a water taste contest at a recent convention. Of the 30 cities that competed, he said Frazee landed in the top three, which also included East Grand Forks and Battle Lake.

Frazee City Clerk Jordin Roberts also noted Stephenson received a certificate recognizing “exceptional compliance” from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency during the 2021 review period.
