The line up for the boys golf team will be wide open this season.

After losing Peyton Cole to graduation last year, the Hornets have no returning letter winners in 2022.

Head coach Jason Reierson said the goal for the season is to get more boys out for the lifelong sport. In fact, sixth graders will be allowed to participate in the sport this year due to a lack of numbers. Reierson said he hopes allowing the younger athletes to participate will help to spark an interest in the sport for the future.

Among the section favorites will be Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls and Thief River Falls. Hawley and Barnesville will be among the conference favorites.
