Minnesota State University-Moorhead freshman and former Frazee Hornet three-sport standout Paige Ziegler placed fourth in the women’s 100-meter hurdles finals at the Holst Invitational hosted by Concordia-St. Paul Saturday, April 23 in St. Paul.

Ziegler qualified eight in the prelims in a time of 15.22 and placed fourth in the finals with an improved time of 15.08.

Ziegler ran the second leg of the Dragon’s 4×400-meter relay with teammates Robynn Rolle-Curry, Tessa Schroeder and anchor Adla Serrao. The quartet placed 12th in a time of 4:31.43.

Ziegler is a freshman transfer from the University of Mary after signing and competing for the Marauders in 2021.

The Dragons had four first place finishes, including Perham standout Ashley Hokanson, a sophomore, winning the pole vault with a personal-best of 13-2.5, which is best in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this season and in the top 12 nationally.

Freshman Carson Hespe, a former Yellowjacket from Frazee, placed fourth in the 5,000-meter run (16:58.98).
