Frazee squeezed just about as many games as a team can get in last week without playing in a tournament.

The Hornets went 4-1 with wins over Menahga on Monday, Norman County East on Tuesday and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley on Friday and split a doubleheader with Hawley on Thursday.

This week the Hornets will host Perham in a doubleheader on Tuesday, before traveling to New York Mills on Thursday. On Friday the Hornets will host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in a doubleheader, before hosting a home tournament on Saturday.

Monday

Malena Mahoney struck out 12 hitters and gave up just 3 earned runs in a wild 15-9 win over the Menahga Braves on Monday.

The Hornets looked poised to end the game early as they jumped out to a 10-0 lead after scoring 3 runs in the first inning, 5 runs in the second and 2 more runs in the fourth inning. However, the Braves erased that lead to just 10-9 after a pair of wild innings. Menahga scored 2 runs in the fourth inning and 7 runs in the fifth inning to erase the double-digit Hornet lead.

Frazee was able to strike back though as they scored 3 more runs in the sixth inning and 2 more in the top of the seventh inning to come away with the win.

As a team the Hornets finished with 17 hits and were led by Claire Pausch, Anna Drewes and Hailee Olson with 3 hits apiece, while Annika Reierson, Kiley Karger and Faith Hamm each had 2 hits in the win.

Olson also led the team with 4 RBIs.
