With six games in five days, the Fraze Hornets were right in the thick of their Heart O’ Lakes and non-conference schedule last week. The Hornets opened the week with a pair of wins over Perham, before falling to perennial Class A power New York Mills on Thursday night.

On Friday the Hornets dropped a doubleheader to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in conference action, before ending the week with a 2-1 win over Pequot Lakes. In all, the Hornets went 3-3 last week as they get ready for the final week of regular season action.

This week the Hornets will host Breckenridge in a doubleheader on Tuesday, before traveling to Barnesville on Thursday for another doubleheader. Frazee will wrap up their regular season on Friday when they host Park Rapids Area.

Tuesday

Frazee swept a doubleheader with Perham on Tuesday night by scores of 6-3 and 15-5.

The Hornets wasted little time getting on the scoreboard on Tuesday as Kiley Karger hit an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning and Claire Pausch brought Karger around to score on a two out single to make the game 2-0.

One inning later, Malena Mahoney brought Frazee’s third run across the plate with a fielder’s choice, before Annika Reierson hit an RBI single to make the game 4-0 in favor of the Hornets.

Frazee added a run in the fourth inning on a Mahoney RBI single and a final run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a Reierson RBI single to make the game 6-3.

The hot start by the offense continued in the second game as the Hornets scored 4 runs in the top of the first inning on their way to a 15-5 win.

They would later add 2 runs in the fourth and fifth innings, as well as 5 runs in the fifth inning. Frazee scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning to complete the two game sweep.
