Section 6A track meet to be held in Pelican Rapids

There was no shortage of top finishes for the Frazee track team during the sub section meet at Pillager High School on Thursday.

The Hornets picked up six top finishes, while taking second in five additional events.

Rylee Moore and Brynn Larson completed a clean sweep in the high jump as Moore captured the top spot with a jump of 5’4” and Larson took second place with a jump of 5’0”. Moore also captured second place in the triple jump with a jump of 34’6 1/4”, while Kaidence Mayfield posted a personal best 33’10 3/4” to finish in second place and Selly captured fourth place with a personal best mark of 33’8”. 

Moore also took the top spot in the 100-meter hurdles with a  personal best of 16.05, while Larson posted a personal best in the 200-meters with a time of 28.26 to capture the top spot as well. 

Selly also found the top spot on the podium with a time of 13.78 in the 100-meter hurdles. 

The Hornets girls team also took first place in both the 4×200-meter and 4×400-meter relays. 

Elsie Ratz captured second place with a personal best in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.56.

Nathan Johannsen took second place in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 16.75 and took third place in the 800-meter run with a personal best time of 2:00.55. 

The boys 4×400-meter relay team took second place with a time of 3:39.84. 

The top six finishers individually, along with the next four fastest times in the section, and the top three relays and the next two best times will compete at the section meet, which is set for Thursday in Pelican Rapids.
