Frazee Legion splits a pair with Hawley

Frazee split a doubleheader with Hawley and dropped a pair of games to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton last week.
Post 15 is currently 3-5 on the season and will host Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Friday. The first pitch will be at 5 p.m.
Tuesday
Post 15 split a doubleheader with Hawley on Tuesday night. Frazee dropped the first game by a score of 9-3, before winning the nightcap by a score of 7-4.
In the first game of the night, Frazee took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning when Brandon Nguyen hit a 2-run single and Caden Frank hit a sacrifice fly to right field.
Hawley answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the second inning, as well as 4 runs in the fourth inning, 2 in the fifth inning and 1 run in the sixth inning to come away with a 9-3 win.
Frazee had 9 hits in the game, but ultimately 3 errors led to 4 unearned runs.
Mark Jaroszewski took the loss on the mound as he gave up 5 earned runs and 11 hits over 5 innings of action.
Kale Ovsak led the way offensively as he had a pair of hits in the loss.
In the second game of the night, Hawley and Frazee combined for 20 hits and 11 runs as Post 15 came away with a 7-4 win.
Nearly all of Frazee’s offense came in a big bottom of the second inning. Post 15 went on a two out rally thanks to an RBI single by Gage Post, a 2-run double by Frank, a 2-run double by Scott Seim and an RBI double by Jaroszewski to give Frazee a 6-0 lead.
Hawley answered with 4 runs of their own in the top of the third inning, but Frazee gave itself a bit of breathing room in the bottom half of the third inning when Derek Zitzow hit an RBI single to make the game 7-4 in favor of Frazee.
Seim, Ovsak and Nguyen led the way offensively with a pair of hits apiece, while Zitzow picked up the win on the mound in relief of Nguyen. He pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings and gave up just 1 hit.

Saturday
Frazee was on the wrong side of a pair of lopsided losses to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Saturday afternoon. Post 15 lost the first game by a score of 26-6, before falling 11-0 int he second game.
In the first game, DGF took advantage of 7 Frazee errors to come away with a 26-6 win. Most of the damage came in the first inning as DGF scored 13 runs, as well as an 8-run bottom of the second inning.
Frazee was able to do most of its damage offensively in the top of the second inning as they scored 2 runs on an error and another 2 runs on a Mark Jaroszewski 2-run single to make the game 13-4 in favor of DGF. They also scored runs in the top of the third inning and top of the fifth innings.
In the second game of the night, DGF scored 1 run in the first, 6 in the third inning and 4 runs in the top of the fifth inning to come away with an 11-0 win over Frazee. Post 15 was able to get just 2 hits in the game, coming off of the bats of Zach Longfors and Scott Seim.
