Location moved a block over to Ash

This year’s Tyler Shipman Memorial Car Show will be held on Saturday, July 30, on Ash Avenue, next to the Event Center.

The 13th annual Tyler Shipman Memorial Car Show will be held on Saturday, July 30.

Due to construction on Highway 87 construction, the event will move one block over from its usual spot on Main Street to Ash Avenue, next to the Frazee Event Center.

Food vendors will be located in the Event Center parking lot with bean bag tournaments at the liquor store, and more.

The event is looking for sponsors. Donations go to supporting charitable endeavors of high school scholarships and providing support to families with children under 18 undergoing a medical or socioeconomic crisis and community organizations and projects such as community Wounded Warriors, Patriot Dogs and Cornerstone,

Registration is $15 the day of the event or $10 to pre-register before Monday, July 24

The show’s official T-shirt and other merchandise is available at the event’s website: tylershipmanmemorialcarshow.com

The shirts were designed this year by event co-chair Cassidy Shipman upon returning from deployment in Kuwait.

A portion of every T-shirt sold will be donated to Military Mental Health Coalition, an organization based out of Appleton, Minnesota, whose mission is to improve the overall health and wellness of military-connected members of the community by raising awareness of persistent challenges, synchronizing the efforts of existing resources, and bridging the civilian-military divide.

The Tyler Shipman Memorial Car Show is held the last full weekend of July every year in honor of Tyler Shipman, an 18-year-old who passed away from cancer.
