Jessica Hagman, daughter of Jennifer Hesby Hagman and granddaughter of Frazee hall of famer Frank Hesby, was one of 67 Concordia-St. Paul student-athletes to earn conference all-academic honors.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that 830 student-athletes earned NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2022 spring athletic season; 458 student-athletes were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, while 372 earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors.

Concordia-St. Paul had 67 selections, including 44 that earned NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors.

Hagman, a sophomore, and four of her Golden Bear women’s golf teammates were included in the school’s 44 honors for excellence.

The total of 67 was the second highest total ever for Concordia, trailing only last year’s mark of 74, while it represented the seventh consecutive year with at least 50 selections. The 44 picked to the All-Academic Team of Excellence was also the second highest.

To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.

Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
