A Frazee man and a Detroit Lakes woman were involved in an automobile crash on Highway 34 east of Detroit Lakes on Friday, July 15.

Anthony Mark Vogt, 57, of Frazee, and Susie Diane Hoppert, 69, of Detroit Lakes, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to a report by the State Patrol.

Hoppert was driving a 2019 Subaru Outback westbound on Highway 34, attempting to make a left turn, when a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Vogt,  also westbound, struck the Subaru in a rear-end collision.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, airbags did not deploy in either vehicle, and no alcohol was involved, according to the report.

Vogt was taken to Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital. Hoppert was not reported to have sought medical attention.

The crash happened at 12:55 p.m., on dry pavement in Erie Township at mile marker 41. The Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
