A 52-year-old Frazee man suffered neck and leg injuries while riding his motorcycle on highway 34 inside Detroit Lakes city limits near the M-State campus Sunday, Aug. 14 at approximately 11 a.m. He collided with a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Detroit Lakes woman. 

Both parties suffered undisclosed injuries and were transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes.

The motorcyclist was riding in full safety gear at the time of the crash.

Little Falls man hurt near Pelican

Nathaniel James Becker, 19, of Little Falls, was injured on Friday, Aug. 12, in a crash east of Pelican Rapids.

Becker suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, according to the State Patrol.

The other driver, Patrick Daniel Howard Wrigley, 19, of Bismarck, N.D., was not injured.

Becker was eastbound on Highway 108 in a 2004 Chevy Silverado.

Wrigley was also eastbound in a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. 

According to the State Patrol, the Jeep signaled to turn south on Bur Oak Hills Road, west of Pelican Rapids, when both vehicles collided and rolled into a ditch. The crash occurred on dry pavement. Airbags did not deploy in either vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. 

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
