Notes from the Chief

Friday, Sept. 9

7:51 a.m. Cell phone found while party was out for a walk. Male gave it to officer who was out and about. Phone owner came to claim the phone and saw that the phone was moving about town as the officer had it in the car with him. Female was able to describe the phone and it was returned.

10:24 a.m. Traffic stop with citation Driving After Revocation issued to Robert Haugen, 52, Barnesville.

7:11 p.m. Report of a rolling domestic on US Hwy 10. Vehicle was found a couple hours later in town. Driver said she was arguing with her boyfriend at the time, but nothing physical.

11:43 p.m. Report of a disturbance on Rivercrest Drive. No disturbance noted, most likely a loud television as those in the apartment were 10 sheets to the wind.

1:29 a.m. Parking complaint on Rivercrest Drive of a vehicle in a handicap spot. Complainant was one of the earlier 10 sheets to the wind guys. Vehicle was gone when officer arrived.

1:39 a.m. Liquor violation with patrons still in establishment on W Main. (VFW)

Saturday, Sept. 10

3:22 p.m. Welfare check on a female on W Main. Female was given a ride to a relative in DL.

6:22 p.m. Report of a driving complaint on US 10. Unable to locate.

6:30 p.m. Assist with a medical.

6:44 p.m. Report of a power pole being hit on W Maple with a cable down.  Cable was a tv line.

10:20 p.m. Extra patrol requested in a neighborhood due to the construction detours.

1:44 a.m. Liquor violation (#2) with patrons still in establishment on W Main. (VFW)

Sunday, Sept. 11

1:46 p.m. Report of a mama cat with babies near the Event Center.  Officer could not find the felines.

4:52 p.m. Court Order Violation reported on Rivercrest Drive.  Jasmine Roberson, 28, Frazee arrested for violation of a Harassment Restraining Order.

5:39 p.m. Report of a loose dog. Officer did not see the dog out and about. Officer talked with pet owners about the leash law. Strike 1.

6:09 p.m. Assist with a medical.

Monday, Sept. 12

2:51 p.m. School admin turned over a vaping device taken from a student. 

6:05 p.m. Assist with a medical on 360th St.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

7:54 a.m. Report of a school bus stop arm violation. Officer looked into the matter, watched video and determined the driver had stopped, therefore no violation. The bus company may change the route slightly for curbside pick up rather than crossing the street.

11:32 a.m. Report of a pickup being tampered with as the fuel tank fill hose was cut in an attempt to siphon gas. Under investigation.

12:48 p.m. Vehicle owner showed up to claim a vehicle that had been towed last week. Vehicle was reportedly stolen from a repair shop in DL. Under investigation.

5:26 p.m. Assist with a reported burglary at Acorn Lake Trailer Park. Most likely a civil issue between male and female.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

8:37 a.m. Ms. Anonymous reporting that a male who is a felon has weapons in his residence.  Unfounded and not followed up on as anonymous complaints hold about as much water as a broken strainer.

6:13 p.m. Assist with a medical.

Thursday, Sept. 15

10:54 a.m. Report of a suicidal female that may be in the Frazee area.

10:37 p.m. Report of a suspicious male by the old admin building by the high school. Male was enjoying the nice evening and using the free wi-fi internet from the building.
