Bettcher receives scholarship from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire

0Alex Bettcher of Frazee was one of 801 incoming freshmen who received scholarships from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for the 2022-23 academic year, with many students receiving multiple awards. Each award varies in amount and criteria.
Bettcher was a recipient of the Minnesota Meets UWEC Scholarship. Two other Detroit Lakes high school classmates were awarded scholarships as incoming freshmen Cora Martin (Chancellors Academic Excellence Scholarship) and Kacy Schiltz (Freshman Honors Scholarship). Bettcher is also a commit to the UWEC women’s basketball team after missing her senior season with an ACL injury.
Forbes has ranked the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire among the top universities in the United States.
UW-Eau Claire is ranked third in Wisconsin among all colleges and universities — public and private — on Forbes’ 2022 America’s Top Colleges list, behind only UW-Madison and Marquette University.
