Farm accident costs Frazee man left arm

Notes from the Chief
An 80-year-old Frazee man lost his left arm after getting it caught in a farming auger Monday, Oct. 3. A tourniquet was applied at the scene and a second was applied by an officer upon arrival at the scene.
The injured man was alert and walking around prior to being transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes.
The man was not identified in the report.
Friday, Sept. 30
1:45 p.m. Assist with the homecoming parade.
Saturday, Oct. 1
10:56 a.m. Complaint of wrong way drivers by the gas station due to construction. No officers in the area for the “felony” wrong way driving.
4:32 p.m. Report of a loose dog on 2nd St SE. Owner contacted and he took care of it.
5:39 p.m. Assist with a medical.
4 p.m. Report of a cat being hit by a vehicle. Reporting party took the cat.
10:16 p.m. Extra patrol requested due to a “gut feeling” that someone was going to break into his house tonight.
11:27 p.m. Report of a disturbance on Rivercrest Drive with people yelling out the window that they were going to mess someone up. Officer told parties to stop yelling out the window and they stopped. The guy they were going to mess up was not around.
1:23 a.m. Disturbance at Town Lake Trailer Park. Morgan Taylor, 20, Vergas arrested on Becker County warrant.
Sunday, Oct. 2
3:51 p.m. Business employee found something in the bathroom that they thought might be drug related. Items were not drug related and disposed of.
8:46 p.m. Assist with a motor vehicle crash on Frazee Rd and 137th Ave.
Monday, Oct. 3
10:28 a.m. Assist with traffic control as roll-off dumpsters were being swapped out.
1:55 p.m. Report of ongoing harassment. Officer gave advice on a Harassment Restraining Orders.
9:59 p.m. Assist with a medical.
2:59 a.m. Complainant calling that they think someone is in their backyard. Officer checked the area and did not see anything out of the ordinary.
Tuesday, Oct. 4
12:13 p.m. Parking complaint with a vehicle in the way of the construction. Owner located and he moved the vehicle.
1:07 p.m. Report of a male party acting out at the clinic. Male left before officer arrived.
3:28 p.m. Report of a male being disorderly at the grocery store. Male left before officer arrived.
3:35 p.m. Report of a domestic incident at the liquor store. Male party left; female told officers it was a verbal argument only.
6:32 p.m. Traffic complaint on US Hwy 10 involving road rage. Unable to locate.
7:31 p.m. Report of a possibly suicidal person. Person making the remarks said they were only doing it for attention.
Wednesday, October 5
8:07 a.m. Report of a student driving without a proper license. Parent notified and told of the consequences.
9:28 a.m. Unruly parent at the high school office. Officer and deputies responded, no report of threats.
12:20 p.m. Wallet found on Frazee Rd. Owner contacted and wallet was returned.
1:36 p.m. Assist with traffic as construction equipment was unloaded on W Birch Ave.
5:49 p.m. Report of kids damaging the rocks on E Main Ave by the gas station. Officer gave a stern warning to the boys and told them to move along.
6:18 p.m. Same male at the grocery store and staff wanted him removed. Male left after being told by officer that he was not welcome in the store. Trespass papers will be served.
10:35 p.m. Report of a stray cat in a house and “cat fighting” with the other cats in the house. Resident was able to get the feline outside before officer arrived.
Thursday, Oct. 6
11:07 a.m. Male party at the city office looking for his trespass paperwork. Paperwork not filled out yet.
9:04 p.m. Report of a 911 call on E Main with a male yelling. Officer went to the area and did not find any signs of a disturbance.
