Weekend of competition in Alexandria Oct. 28-29

Frazee High School’s KAOTIC Robotics team will be competing in the Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference (NMRC) championships and a second competition in Alexandria from Oct. 28-29.

The events will be in gymnasium at Alexandria High School on Friday, Oct. 28, the NMRC will begin competition with its fifth annual conference championship. 

KAOTIC Robotics will compete against teams from Hatton-Northwood (N.D.), Brainerd, Warroad, Nevis, Cass Lake-Bena, Thief River Falls, Pine River-Backus, Alexandria, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Upsala, Little Falls, Bemidji, Big Fork, Babbitt, Pequot Lakes, Crosby-Ironton, Kelliher, Red Lake, Swanville, Grand Forks (N.D.), Pillager and Ashby.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, competition continues with the second Annual NMRC Open tournament. 

Teams from Minneapolis, Becker, Cold Spring, ROCORI, Madison, Arcadia (Wis.) and Luverne will join the tournament field.

Doors will open both days at 8:30 a.m., and admission is free and open to the public. Competition is expected to continue throughout each day with the final matches concluding around 5 p.m.
