Section meet to be held next week in Bagley

The regular season is winding down for the Frazee fall sports teams and the cross country season is no exception. The Hornets competed in their second to the last regular season meet of the season last week when they traveled to Hawley for the Heart O’ Lakes Conference meet. 

Freshman Jonah Sharp was the first Hornet to cross the finish line for the boys team as he took 26th place with a time of 19:19. He was followed closely by Cael Pausch who took 33rd place with a time of 20:12, Brady Borah took 39th place with a time of 20:54, Alexx Helmers took 44th place with a time of 21:25, Tyden Schaefer took 45th place with a time of 21:46, Hunter Lyman took 48th place with a time of 24:17 and Daniel Winn took 49th place with a time of 24:36. 

As a team the boys finished in seventh place with 187 points. Perham won the meet with 22 points, while Hawley took second place with 72 points. Lake Park-Audubon took third place with 88 points, Pelican Rapids finished in fourth place with 98 points, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton took fifth place with 104 points and Breckenridge took sixth place with 154 points. 

On the girls side, senior Bailey Larsen led the charge for the Hornets as she took 26th place with a time of 24:10. She was followed by a pair of Hornet freshmen as Lola Hoehn took 28th place with a time of 25:17 and Caleigh Pausch took 32nd place with a time of 25:28.

The girls team competed as an incomplete team as Perham took first place with a team score of 15, while Hawley took second place with a score of 61, Breckenridge finished in third place with a score of 65 and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton took fourth place with a score of 109. 

The Hornets traveled to Bemidji on Monday for their final regular season meet of the season.
