Chamber, EDA cut ribbons at five locations

Owners Heath and Laura Peterson cut the ribbon on Frazee’s first laundromat in over a decade at Lucky Bubble Thursday, Nov. 17, with mayor-elect Mark Flemmer and EDA member Ashley Renollet. Lucky Bubble is located on the parking lot side of Frazee Family Foods in a portion formerly owned by Daggett Truck Line.

Members of the Frazee Economic Development Authority, the Detroit Lakes Chamber of Commerce, mayor elect Mark Flemmer and others celebrated five new businesses which have opened up or moved to a new location downtown during 2022.

Business owners and employees held brief interviews with Hank Ludtke for TV3, along with a ribbon cutting ceremony at each location and presentations of the first dollar of business by the chamber Thursday, Nov. 17.

Stops included: the Palace Cafe, which changed ownership in August and opened back up in October; Frazee Fitness Center, which opened in May; Hive Nutrition, which opened in June in the former bowling alley before moving to its new location this week in the former Chic Shed Junque Boutique; Seip Drug, which changed locations from the downtown corner to the new retail building up the street, and Lucky Bubble, which opened in April on the backside of Frazee Family Foods.
