Frazee falls to Hawley 50-48 in conference

Frazee dropped its third straight Heart O’ Lakes Conference game against the Hawley Nuggets and the Perham Yellowjackets last week.

After falling to Hawley by a narrow score of 50-48 on Tuesday night, the Hornets fell to one of the better teams in the region on Thursday against Perham.

In their game against Perham, Jayden Sonnenberg scored 18 points, while Brynn Larson chipped in with 8 points to help to lead the charge. 

The Hornets trailed by just 34-25 at halftime, but made some adjustments for the second half as they were outscored just 26-16 in the final 18 minutes of action to eventually fall by a score of 60-41. 

In addition to Sonnenberg and Larson, Hailey Selly scored 2 points, Ellie Trieglaff scored 1 points, Lillian Adams 2 points, Riyan Eckert 4, Kaidence Mayfield 4, and Ashley Makowski rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

No other information, or stats from the game were received by the time of press.

This week the Hornets will host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Thursday night as part of an extended home stand to wrap up the 2022 portion of their schedule. Next week the Hornets will host Henning in a non-conference game as part of a boys-girls split doubleheader and Barnesville on Thursday as part of another doubleheader. 

The Hornets are currently 1-3 on the season and 0-3 in the HOL Conference.
