Samantha Riggles, 21, is certain she would be near death’s door and living in despair if it weren’t for a doctor, a policeman and her newborn baby. The former Frazee High School student was supposed to graduate in 2015, but dropped out to chase an addiction. She had lost everything and excepted her life to end when her three saviors lent a hand and gave her the motivation she needed.
More incentive packages are being created in Vergas to include multi-housing units. During the monthly Vergas Economic Development Authority meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 13, the group agreed to focus on an incentive package to draw apartment developers to the community. Evelyn was at home, and had just put a batch of buns into the oven when the fire broke out. “They (the buns) got done,” Evelyn quipped, as she tried to find some humor in the situation.

Mayor Russel Vikesland took Hagerty on a tour of possible downtown locations last week and Hagerty took 10-12 pictures of possible sites.
