A Frazee man, Robert Allen Pary, 64, has been accused of threatening to shoot a woman at her place of employment – Lakeshirts in Detroit Lakes. Pary’s threats also included shooting up Lakeshirts.

The woman reported to police that a man was very upset with her and phoned her threatening to “show up at her work and shoot her and her workplace,” according to Jan. 17 court records.

Pary has been charged in Becker County District Court with three separate crimes: felony threats of violence, gross misdemeanor harassment and disorderly conduct – a misdemeanor.

Lakeshirts was immediately advised to go into lockdown by police while officers located the suspect. Police were informed that he owns guns.

Pary was later located and arrested. He admitted to saying he would “shoot up the place,” indicating Lakeshirts, according to the complaint.

Pary appeared before District Judge Michelle W. Lawson on Thursday, Jan. 18. Lawson set bond at $25,000 without conditions, or cash bail at $500 or bond at $5,000 with conditions.

Those conditions include no contact with the victim, no trespassing at Lakeshirts, no use of drugs or alcohol, and no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons.

Pary’s next court appearance is set for Monday, Jan. 30.
