Faith Hamm, a multi-sport athlete for the Hornets, was recently recognized as the Minnesota State High School League’s Most Valuable Teammate.

The MSHSL and Wells Fargo sponsor the weekly award program for students in 11th and 12th grade who are great teammates.

“Faith is a huge supporter for all those around her,” her award application said. “She’s always positive and constantly builds up her teammates. She is a huge cheerleader for the younger girls in our programs and constantly takes them under her wing. She is the first to raise her hand to do anything for anyone, including many community organizations. She is all about what is best for the team and not herself.”

Hamm and other nominated students are recognized weekly on the League’s social media platforms throughout the year beginning in September.

The award highlights the following characteristics: positive influence on their team—putting the team before self; exemplifying leadership and sportsmanship; respectful, reliable and supportive of others.
