Frazee-Vergas schools were recognized during the school choice week on Wednesday, Feb. 1, according to a Facebook post by Miss Frazee and senior Marcella George. The district received the recognition for the second consecutive year. Only one in three Minnesota schools are given the award, according to George. “Pretty amazing that me and Katie Courneya (Miss Frazee Outstanding Teen) are a part of such a great school with amazing staff and students,” George said in her post. National School Choice Week is a charitable program of the National School Choice Awareness Foundation that helps families discover the traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, online, and home education options available for their children. National School Choice Week was held January 22-28.
