Frazee-Vergas senior Zach Longfors was named the Minnesota State High School League’s Most Valuable Teammate for the week of Feb. 23. Longfors is a three-sport athlete playing football, basketball and baseball for the Hornets. According to the posted award, “Zach has tremendous leadership skills which are seen on the court, in the weight room and in the community. He is able to hold people accountable yet keeps everyone loose. His positive attitude and effort is very important to the success of a young team. Zach volunteers to help coach his little brother’s basketball and football teams and is a well-suited role model for young boys.” Longfors is the second Hornet to earn the league’s distinction this winter season joining Faith Hamm.
