Frazee Fly Girls host end of season awards banquet

Seniors this season included: Annette Hermanson, Emily Aschnewitz, Alexis Heaton and Marcella George.
The Frazee Fly Girls celebrated their season with their end of the year banquet on Sunday, February 19 at the Frazee Event Center.
The Frazee Fly Girls coaches recognized the Varsity Jazz Team, the Varsity High Kick team and the JV jazz teams.
Varsity letter winners were recognized, as well as the dancers who received the spotlight on academic award for maintaining a 3.0 or higher grade point average (GPA) during the season.
In addition, senior Marcella George was recognized for receiving the Senior All-State Academic award for maintaining a 3.85 or higher GPA throughout high school.
The dancers who received Heart O’ Lakes All-Conference and HOL Honorable Mention were recognized.
Three varsity dancers will represent the Frazee Fly Girls at All-State Dance on Saturday, March 11. All-State Jazz dancers are Marcella George and Hailey Selly and All-State High Kick dancer is Lainey Jacobson.
The banquet wrapped up by acknowledging the four seniors for their dedication and leadership towards the Frazee Fly Girls Dance program: varsity dancers Marcella George and Alexis Heaton, junior varsity dancer Annette Hermanson and manager Emily Aschnewitz.
The varsity Fly Girls were coached this year by head coach Isabella Matejka, Assistant coach Becky Matejka, and volunteer assistant coaches Madeline Matejka and Braylee Riewer. The junior varsity was coached by Caitlin Breitenfeldt.
